WHEN: Friday, August 25, 10:30 am – 12:00 am

WHERE: Tilden Park Jewel Lake/Sylvan Trail 

We will meander through the eucalyptus forest returning through turkey vale at the rear of the Environmental Education Center. This trail has moderate elevation rise and is not wheelchair accessible. The trail can last 1+ to 2 miles depending on our wishes! Lots of options here!

In front of the Environmental Education Center (near Little Farm)..

Transportation options if available: Carpools if Contact is called 3-4 days in advance

How to get there: directions or map (if necessary)

Take University Ave. go east/ LEFT on Oxford Street 1.4 mi. Turn RIGHT on Marin Ave. go 0.2 mi. turn LEFT/north on Spruce St.. Go 0.4 mi. Cross Grizzly Peak Blvd and take and IMMEDIATE LEFT turn onto Canyon Dr. At the bottom of the hill turn LEFT on Central Park Drive and proceed to parking for the Tilden Nature Area. Environmental Education Center is at the far end of this parking lot.

Equipment or special clothing, (if necessary): Sturdy shoes/boots. Layer your clothing as the fog will cool us and the walk and the sun will warm us! Walking sticks can be helpful if you use them. Bring water and, of course, use your sunscreen!
