Jay Sanders, a representative from
Eschenbach
, a company specializing in eyewear with absorptive filters that offer more protection against the sun than ordinary sunglasses, will provide a basic understanding of how different lens filters improve contrast, reduce glare and will also talk about lighting. He will bring an assortment of different sunglasses in a variety of tint colors, frame sizes and wrap-around and fit-over styles for the audience to try on.
Please note that Jay's job is to sell to doctors and not the public.
Although the event is sponsored by the Macular Degeneration and Low-Vision Interest Group, the presentation is for anyone who needs help with glare, seeing better in the dark or sharper contrast.
