Ashby Village volunteer Mark Tarses will talk about some colorful characters who lived in San Francisco in the 1800s, including:
- Emperor Norton, who truly believed that he was the Emperor of the United States.

Big Bertha, his romantic leading lady weighed 350 to 400 pounds. Nevertheless, she was San Francisco's pin-up girl of her time. Big Bertha made a fortune swindling romantic suitors who wanted to marry her.
