Tilden Regional Park, Wildcat Gorge Trail
from Lone Oak Parking lot - Plus options

Description:
Wildcat Gorge Trail is under 2 miles - a walk that wanders along the beautiful upper stretch of Wildcat Creek to the foot of the dam and back to the parking lot. This will be the easier hike. The Curran and Meadows Trails will be more challenging options for a 3.3 mile loop. We will have walk leaders to accommodate your trail selection.

Where to meet: We will meet at the Lone Oak parking lot off Lone Oak Road, a side shoot off Central Park Drive between Lake Anza to the south, and the Little Farm to the north in Tilden Park.

What to bring: Binoculars if you have them, good hiking shoes or boots for the trails, layered clothing for variable weather, water, windbreaker, snacks. Hiking poles are optional, but a good idea.

Directions: From the intersection of Grizzly Peak Road and Spruce in Berkeley. Spruce turns into Wildcat Canyon Road on the east side of Grizzly Peak Road.  Take Wildcat Canyon Road ONLY a FEW Feet then turn left onto Canon Drive.  At the bottom of the hill, turn R on Central Park Drive, and shortly turn L onto Lone Oak Road. The Trailhead is a few yards beyond the toilets.

Transportation: Need a ride? Members can request a ride from the Ashby Village office- 510-204-9200. Or have your guest bring you, and join you on the walk.

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS:
As it is outdoors -  All are welcome! If you are vaccinated, you don’t need to wear a mask. If you are not vaccinated, you must wear a mask.
