Scams or Spams? Keep safe on the internet

Scared of the scam artists and thieves of the Internet? Join us for a workshop presented by Ashby Village technology volunteers, Chris Hughes and Lincoln Spector, as they share useful information on internet scams and password protection. You'll get answers to questions like: How can we identify scams in our emails and in mysterious pop-ups on our browsers? What can we do to protect ourselves from internet scams? The workshop is interactive, and you’ll have ample opportunity to share experiences and ask specific questions about internet safety.

Chris Hughes has been a website and app developer for more than 10 years. He also has many years’ experience helping people get comfortable with new technologies through tutoring and instruction.

For more than 20 years, Lincoln Spector provided tech-oriented humor and advice in Computer Currents' Gigglebytes column and PCWorld's Answer Line blog.
