WHEN: Mon. June 13 10 AM for approx. 2 hours (allow longer for optional lunch)

DESCRIPTION: This is a paved walking path mostly shaded (for a warm summer day) with minimal  elevation gain. There are several entry points. We will meet by the entrance to Montclair Parking garage 6235 La Salle Ave (the trail can be accessed via steep ramp or stairs) There is also another barrier - free entrance for wheelchair accessibility at 6211 Medau Place - go the end take sidewalk to the right, go thru the tunnel and left and around to the trail. May want to check out in advance as it is a bit steep. If you take that access point, plan ahead to meet further up the trail by the Montclair parking garage on La Salle to join others, and let us know you are coming.

We should be able to do the walk in 2 hours. Be aware of time constraints though if you are in paid parking.
Some may want to shop and/or have lunch in the selection of Montclair restaurants afterwards.

WHAT TO BRING: Bring hat and water. Some walkers like to have walking poles for balance and stability even though it is an easy path.  Bring your cell phone, if you have one. Credit card for parking!

TRANSPORTATION:  6235 La Salle Ave. Oakland for navigation setting. Going south on CA 13, take exit 4 for Moraga Ave toward Thornhill Drive, keep left at the the fork following signs for Moraga Ave.Thornhill Dr/Montclair District and merge onto Moraga Ave., turn left onto La Salle Ave. the parking structure is at the end.  The structure uses ParkMobile or Pay in advance using your license plate # - first 30 minutes free - $2 per hour. There is an attendant on site to assist. You may try street metered parking in town, on La Salle Ave or Mountain Blvd.

Members who need a ride can contact the office for a volunteer driver, who may join us  or you may ask a friend to bring you and be your guest, as well.
COVID PRECAUTIONS:  Masks are optional, If you are vaccinated.  Bring a mask for shops or restaurants as needed. If you are not vaccinated you must wear a mask.
