When: Thursday June 9, at 10:30 - stay an hour - longer or shorter - your choice! 

Where: Meet at 700 Jean Street,Oakland,  situated in a residential area just off Grand Avenue near the Piedmont border.

Open to: Members and Volunteers and their guests. We are happy to tell guests about the benefits of Ashby Village! 

Accessibility: Wheelchair/walker accessible. There are stairs but the bulk of the garden is flat. Bring your walking stick or poles to assist on the stairs!

Description:   We are repeating this hidden jewel as it accessible to all. The public garden is 8 acres featuring more than 6000 rose bushes and is one of the 10 best rose gardens in the States.  The garden blooms from Mother’s Day until October. We will meet at the garden gate at 10:30 am and we can wander through the garden together. There is parking on Jean Street.  The 12 bus stops at Jean Street and Grand Avenue, a ten minute walk to the garden. Call the office if you need a ride or ask a friend to bring you and be our guest. 


What to bring: Good walking shoes, layered clothing for variable weather, water, walking stick or poles to assist on the stairs.


Covid-19 Precautions:
As it is outdoors, if you are vaccinated, you don’t need to wear a mask. If you are not vaccinated, you must wear a mask.
