Mindful Meditation 8 Week Series
Interested in Exploring Mindfulness and how you can live your life with awareness?
Join teacher Karen Racanelli for weekly zoom drop-in Mindful Meditation classes where we’ll explore focusing on our bodies and breath, thoughts and emotions, joy and equanimity – in an effort to create conscious awareness with loving-kindness. Each class will include a thematic talk and an accompanying 20-30-minute meditation with instructions on how to practice at home.
No fee is required, but donations are welcome. Class size limited to 20 participants per week.
Registration is required for this 8-session course. If you would like to join this drop-in series, please send an email to the instructor, Karen (kracanelli1@gmail.com) at least 2 days in advance to receive the zoom link. Let her know if you are a member or a volunteer and if you have any questions.
While you are encouraged to enjoy the full series, you may drop in intermittently, as well.
Meet the Instructor:
Karen Racanelli has been a practitioner and a certified teacher of yoga for the past 20 years. Her Hatha-yoga classes incorporate a range of body stretches with traditional asanas.
Although she has been a part-time meditator over the years, it was a physical injury seven years ago that finally encouraged her to “go inward,” committing to a regular meditation practice. Currently, Karen is a student in the Mindful Meditation Teacher Certification Program credentialed by U.C. Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center, as taught by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. She will graduate in February of 2023.
As a teacher of mindfulness, Karen aims to bring a non-judgmental caring attention to presence through awareness and loving-kindness. Her classes explore mindfulness of many feeling states and emotions through guided meditations and didactic talks.
