Play Reading Ensemble
The Play Reading Ensemble encourages Ashby Village members and volunteers of any skill level to read classic and contemporary theatrical works together for their mutual enjoyment.
The Ensemble gathers twice a month on Zoom to delve into the world of theater in an experimental frame of mind and heart. The members select the plays. The format is designed to ensure each participant has an equal shot at reading major roles, also to allow members to drop in and out without disrupting the readings.
On the second and fourth Tuesday evenings of the month, we read the play through together on Zoom. We pause occasionally to discuss our experience and insights. After reading we will watch a video performance.
