practical services
Access to practical services provided by trained volunteers is one of the primary benefits of Ashby Village membership. Services available include rides to run errands and medical appointments; light gardening; small repairs; MedPals (assisting members at doctors appointments); technology and electronic devices assistance, companionship, walking buddies, organizing, pet care, food prep and many others.

MEMBER SUPPORT SERVICES
Social Care and Connection volunteers reach out with phone calls or visits. Support groups help address changes associated with aging such as hearing and vision loss, and social work trained staff and volunteers help members navigate situations involving serious illness, life transitions and isolation. Members also have access to providers for support outside Ashby Village's scope of services.  

HEALTHY AGING ACTIVITIES
Taking care of your physical, emotional, and cognitive health is important for developing and maintaining wellbeing in older age. Members engage together in gentle yoga, strength and balance training, nature walks and hikes, and raising awareness about ageism and ways people can effectively advocate for themselves. 

social & Cultural activities
Monthly activities include first Friday Social Hours and pre-Social Hour programs, concerts, potlucks organized by Neighborhood Groups, Arts & Culture presentations, Interest Groups including Science & Ideas, Elder Action, book and film discussions, technology workshops, games and puzzles, writing, artistic expression and more.
