SERVICES & programs

 

We are pleased to announce that in-person and in-home support services are now available to vaccinated members.

As always, the safety of our members and volunteers is of utmost importance, and therefore proof of vaccination will be required for giving or receiving any of these services.
 
For members who cannot receive the vaccine for medical reasons, have decided not to be vaccinated, or feel uncomfortable sharing this information with us, please know that you are still able to receive services outdoors (i.e. Connections, friendly visitors, gardening...) and we are considering safe options for getting in-home services to you in the near future. Stay tuned.
 
All of our members and volunteers should have already received communications on sending proof of vaccination but if you haven’t, or need support doing so, please email us at info@ashbyvillage.org or call (510) 204-9200.


practical services
Transportation (to grocery shopping, medical appointments, etc.), light gardening, small repairs, MedPals (assisting members with doctors appointment), computer and electronic assistance, companionship, organizing, food prep, pet care, reading aloud...

MEMBER SUPPORT SERVICES
Support to help address changes associated with aging, such as loss, serious illness, housing planning and isolation. Referrals to home-care, clinical and other providers. The Social Care, Caring and Connection teams reach out with phone calls or visits.  

HEALTHIER AGING ACTIVITIES
Gentle yoga, tai-chi, strength training, meditation, short walks and nature walks to local treasures. A Healthier Aging column featuring suggestions and resources in our newsletter, every other month.

social & Cultural activities
Monthly happy hours. Potlucks organized by Neighborhood Groups. Arts & Culture series. Interest Groups, such as Macular-Degeneration, LGBTQ, Book Clubs, Mac Users, Bridge, Puzzle, Creativity and Poetry.
