Healthy Aging Presents
Focus on Feet for Better Health
With Mary D’Elia, fitness instructor and former Director of the Albany YMCA


Learn how keeping our feet healthy can improve balance, coordination, stability and help to prevent falls.

Learn how proper foot care begins with strengthening and stretching the muscles and connective tissue in the foot, ankle, and lower leg.

Join us for this 45 minute workshop to learn some easy exercises to keep your feet fit and healthy followed by a 30-minute Q&A with Mary D’Elia.

Props needed: A small towel, yoga strap or belt, tennis ball and a chair without arms or wheels.


Mary D'Elia is the former Executive Director of the Albany YMCA. She has been teaching fitness classes and workshops for over 30 years specializing in working with older adults. She continues to teach Senior Strength and Fitness at the Albany Y and is a certified personal trainer.
