From Siri to Scams: A Practical Introduction to AI

This introductory overview will cover the basics of artificial intelligence: what is it, how does it work and what is it useful for? We'll also discuss the risks of AI and how to recognize and protect yourself from AI-related scams. The session is designed for non-technical people and will discuss the practical and everyday aspects of this profound new technology. There will also be plenty of time for questions.

Greg Sterling is a leading authority on the search industry and digital media. He is the co-founder of Dialog, which studies the impact of AI on consumers and local businesses. He also co-founded Near Media, a digital marketing strategy consultancy. A frequent speaker at industry events, he was previously VP of Market Insights for Berlin-based Uberall, VP of strategy for trade group LSA, and a contributing editor for Search Engine Land for more than 14 years. A former attorney, Sterling practiced civil litigation for nearly a decade before escaping with his life.
