The ABC’s of Medicinal Cannabis

 With Laurie Vollen, MD, MPH


Now that Cannabis research has grown exponentially, the number of proven opportunities for Cannabis to positively impact the lives of older adults continues to grow.

 

Join us to hear:

  • Up to-date research about the use of Medical Cannabis for symptom relief of pain, anxiety, insomnia and cancer related side effects.
  • About opportunities to integrate the medicinal properties of Cannabis in the treatment of other age- related conditions such as osteoporosis and opiate usage.

Dr. Vollen is a Board Certified, Berkeley based physician specializing in Medical Marijuana and its use with older adults. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and completed her residency at the University of California San Diego in Public Health and Preventive Medicine.
