Please join this rapidly growing group so that we can make our voices heard in these critical times.
THIS MONTH'S FOCUS: ADDRESSING GUN VIOLENCE
There have been nearly 150 mass shootings in the United States so far this year, and even more victims of community gun violence throughout the Bay Area.
Gabriel Garcia, Policy & Advocacy Director for Youth ALIVE!
will tell us about what legislation his Oakland-based organization is supporting this year to address the problem by treating violence like a public health crisis and healing trauma survivors who have been impacted by this violence.
We hope you will join us, and feel free to invite others you know who may be interested. You need not be a member of Ashby Village to be involved.
Conveners: Julie Freestone and Rochelle Lefkowitz
