DESCRIPTION and ACCESSIBILITY: This short-loop trail is a sure and easy way to feel refreshed in the great outdoors. It runs past the beach, children play areas, picnic sites, and goes around the lake. The route takes you along a narrow trail through the local plant life. . Part of the trail is paved and part is dirt. We should be seeing a waterfall!
 Benches and restrooms are available.

When walking along the water’s edge, watch for birds, Canadian geese, cormorants, and kingfishers. In the spring, wild onions, lilies, and other flowers bloom along the west edge of the lake. On the Oak Bay Trail, you’ll climb a bit above the lake through some shaded woodland, with a bench at the halfway point that looks out at the hills.
