CLAY WORKSHOP

Greg Mintz, a fellow Ashby Village member, will share his clay creations with us. Check out gmfairyabodes on Instagram.

Greg writes, "Inspired by a 3 year old friend, I make ceramic furniture and houses for the fairies. I love to gift my creations to the kids of my city." (Oakland)

Greg will bring clay for us all to create houses or furniture to share as well. We have some money from Ashby Village to provide for the clay. If we need more, we can each chip in $5.

Space will be limited to 8 to 10 people. To save your spot, please call Lynn at the RSVP contact information above. Advance registration helps us to plan for enough table space and supplies. Bring your own apron and any tools you wish to use.

Members can work on their own projects or work together while we learn a new craft. Past projects have included: working with clay, collage, paper maché, wire working and more.  One member has been working on a needlepoint periodic table that promises to be a masterpiece. Another member works on clay fairy houses that he leaves in parks throughout the Bay Area. You don’t need an art background to join…just curiosity and the willingness to try something new.

Please test before coming and feel free to wear a mask if you are more comfortable.

Please RSVP so that we can properly plan.
