Come join Betsy Rose in this celebration
of life’s beauty and challenge – in song!
Betsy’s program of original songs, many of which will have us all singing along, captures both the tenderness of living in these times, and the humor, joy, and resilience of elder wisdom!
She writes and sings in the spirit of Leonard Bernstein’s statement after the assassination of JFK: “This will be our reply to violence- to make music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before.”
Singer/Writer Betsy Rose has sung her way into countless hearts and spirits around the world in her fifty years as a community song leader, performer, activist, and recording artist.
Betsy has performed throughout the United States and Canada, and through Asia, Africa, Australia and Europe. She has sung at festivals, and at conferences for spiritual organizations, educators, elders and parents, including La Leche League, Women’s Empowerment groups, Spirit Rock Buddhist Center, and AIDS and Hospice services.
She draws on diverse spiritual traditions, including the Protestant roots from her life as a minister’s daughter. Her worldview is deeply grounded in Buddhist practice and her long association with spiritual and thought leaders Joanna Macy and Thich Nhat Hanh.
